Looking for a Poised alternative?

Poised announced that it would shut down on October 8, 2026. If you used it to keep an eye on your filler words and pace, here is how PitchCoach AI compares, and where it will not fill the gap.

What Poised did

Poised ran as a desktop app on Mac and Windows, alongside your calls in tools like Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Slack. It gave you feedback while you spoke, and it tracked things like filler words, clarity, confidence, energy and empathy across your meetings. It also wrote meeting summaries and lists of action items.

What PitchCoach AI does instead

PitchCoach AI does not join your calls. It grades practice. You record a talk, pitch or answer in your browser, or upload a recording, and about a minute later you get a report: an overall score, scores for clarity, confidence, pace and filler words, Delivery Vitals counted from your audio, and Top Improvements, each with something to try next time. Every report compares your scores with your own average, so you can see whether a habit is fading.

Where PitchCoach AI fits, and where it does not

PitchCoach AI is a good fit if you used Poised to:

  • prepare for presentations, pitches or interviews,
  • keep track of your filler words and pace over time,
  • get specific advice on what to fix next.

It will not replace Poised if you relied on:

  • feedback during live calls,
  • meeting summaries and action items.

If prompts while you rehearse a slide show are what you will miss most, PowerPoint has a built-in Speaker Coach that comments on your pacing, filler words and more as you practice, then gives you a report (Microsoft's guide).
